以前、
上手いプロでも1ｍのパットを外すことがある
と書いたことがあります。
 
1mって実は難しく、とりわけ曲がるラインでは
入らないほうが多いかもしれません。
 
そんな1ｍのパット。
練習グリーンでまっすぐだと思って打った所、
 

 
カップ手前でビックリするぐらいグニャリ。
 
なんだフックなのか、まっすぐにしか見えんのになあ
と思って、次はカップ右を狙うと、
 

 
あれ？なんで今度はまっすぐ抜ける？
今度は試しにカップ左を狙うと
 

 
やっぱりまっすぐ。
何でカップを狙う時だけ曲がるのか
とちょっとパニックになりました。
 
そこで、そ～とカップ前の芝を触ってみると
 

 
目には見えない小さなマウンドが。
こんなん、わかるわけない
と思ったものの、カップインを試すこと十数度。
 

×スライス：「フック」の誤り
 
かなり強めにまっすぐ打つか、ジャストタッチでは
1か所だけカップインするルートがありました。
 
そこで、改めて
1ｍでも、これは入らんわあ
と思った次第です。
 
本番は常に一発勝負。
 
他の人のパットラインが逆に仇となる場合もあり、
本当にパットは難しいと思います。
 
でも、1ｍを入れないとスコアにならないんです
よねえ。
 
まっすぐなラインにつけることがいかに大事か
ということもありますし、
1ｍ以内は曲がろうが強くまっすぐという格言もあります。
 
ただ、1m以内のパットってパーオンした場合は
結構な確率で2パット目。
 
強く打って外すと4パットがちらつくんですよねえ。
 
パーオンから4パットなんてやったら、
ねえ？泣いちゃいますよ。
 
まあ、天を仰いでよく泣いてはいますけど。
