フロント担当者は出社してすぐに
館内の全照明をつけ、暖房を入れ、
パソコンを立ち上げ、有線を流します。
 
続いての大事な仕事が
トイレの各便座のSW ONです。
 
この時に便座を一つずつ開け、
中が大変なことになっていないか？の
チェックを行います。
 
たまたまだったとは思うのですが、
以前、朝一で大きな塊が残っていて、
大騒ぎになったことがあったそうです。
 
以来、このチェックは大変重要な業務となっています。
 
ただ、「大変なことになっている 第二弾」は
今の所、まだ、発見されていません。
 

 
その後、来場されるお客様に挨拶をしつつ、
署名簿への記載をこちらでお願いするのですが、
 
不思議なことに入ってくる姿をちらっと見ただけで
メンバーさんなのか、ビジターさんなのかが
大体わかります。
 
ほかのコースのメンバーさんで
こちらではビジターという方も
多々いらっしゃるわけですが、
それでもビジターさんということが
何となくわかります。
 
来場回数の多い少ないが視線に現れるのかしら？
という気はします。
 
多い方は何がどこにあるのかわかっているため、
視線がほとんど動きません。
 
来場数がまだまだ少ない方は、
視線が動くような気がします。
確かな話ではありませんが。
 
で、多くの場合、徐々にお客様が増えてきて
どこかで必ずてんやわんやが始まります。
 
そんな時に電話がかかってきても、
なかなか出ることが出来ず、
心の中で「申し訳ありません。」
と謝っています。
 
そのため、急ぎの電話でなければ、
9時半以降にかけて頂けますと、
大変助かります。
 
一方、そんな時に必死の思いで取った電話が
「わし、明日何時のスタートだった？」
という電話だと、腰が砕けそうになります。
 
「さ来週の水曜日に予約を取っているんだけど、
　雨降る？」
という電話の場合は、もう万歳です。
 
はい、朝からいろいろと楽しいですよ。

Strangely enough, we can usually tell whether someone is a member or a visitor
just by taking a quick look as they enter.
 
There are many members of other courses who are visitors to our course,
but we can still somehow tell that they are visitors to our course.
 
I wonder if the number of times someone has visited our course is reflected in their gaze?
I feel that way.
 
Frequent visitors know where everything is,
so their eyes barely move.
 
For those who haven’t visited many times yet,
I feel like their eyes are wandering in various directions.
I can’t say for sure, though.
 
In many cases, as the number of customers gradually increases,
chaos inevitably begins somewhere.
 
At times like that, even if the phone rings,
I find it difficult to answer,
although I can’t say it out loud, in my heart I am apologizing.
 
Therefore, if it is not an urgent call,
it would be very helpful if you could call after 9:30.
 
On the other hand, if I answer a phone call at a time like that,
desperately asking,
“What time does tomorrow’s golf game start?”,
My hips might give way.
 
“I have a reservation for next Wednesday.
Is it going to rain?”
If I get a call like that, I almost faint.
