フォローの時はいいんですけど、
アゲンストの時はティーショットが
フェアウエイに届かずにOB
になることがあります。
 
アゲインストの時に右へスライスすると
飛距離は十分あっても、
右に持っていかれ、右の谷へOBとなりがち。
 
それを怖がって左狙いにすると、
元々打ち下ろしですので引っ掛けやすく、
左の深い所にOBとなります。
 
もう一つ嫌なのは、グリーンまで100yd少々の
グラスバンカーです。
 

 

 
グラスバンカー？
砂のバンカーじゃなくてよかった。
入っても大丈夫だろ。
 
と思えるのはグリーン周りにあるグラスバンカー
で、さほど草の深くないグラスバンカーの場合だと
思います。
 
ここのグラスバンカーは
球がどこにあるのかなかなかわからない
ほど深く、グリーンまでの距離もあって難しいん
ですよね。
 
そして、ここに入れたくないと思っても、
写真の通り、顎が高いため、セカンドショット、
サードショットがよくここに飛び込みます。
 
ですので、Hdcpが2ですし、
マンスリーの実績でも一番難しいロングホール
となっています。

When the wind is against you and the ball slices to the right,

and into the valley on the right, likely going out of bounds.
 
If you are afraid of this and aim to the left,
since it is a downhill shot it is easy to hook the ball
and it will go out of bounds deep on the left.
 
Another thing I don’t like is the grass bunker about 100 yards from the green.

so second and third shots often land in here.
