ラウンド進行が遅くなりがちな理由
 
ゴルフ場とお客さんの利害が一致すること
 
でも記載させて頂きましたし、ほかの記事でも
何度か取り上げさせていただきました通り、
ゴルフ場及び来場者が非常に気にする所です。
 
一番気を付けなければいけないのは
言うまでもなく前の組への打込みであり、
 
どんな理由があろうと怪我をさせかねない
という点で許されることではありません。
 
人間の池ポチャも気を付けなければ
いけないことですが、一番の被害者は本人ですし、
 
なんで池に落ちたの？
そりゃ、池の中の玉を拾おうとしたんだろ。
それで池ポチャ？なんだよそれ、小学生か？
 
と笑われかねないので、優先順位はもう少し下がります。
 
ラウンド進行の遅れは禁煙区域での喫煙と並んで、
二番目に気を付けなければいけないことだと思います。
 

 
こちらは高速道路の渋滞の写真です。
 
特に交通量が多くないとした場合に、
先頭の車（写真ではＡＢＣ）が
蓋をしてしまって後続が渋滞をする
 
というケースがあります。
 
片側一車線の道路ではなお顕著です。
 
交通の流れを無視し、
ひたすらゆっくり走る車の後ろが大渋滞
 
という経験は多くの方がお持ちでしょう。
その運転手はどんな気持ちで運転してんで
しょうか？
 
これ、コースのラウンド進行とまったく同じです。
 
トップスタート等で待ちがなく、
特に遅い方もいらっしゃらない場合は
2時間を切ってハーフを回ることができます。
 
しかしながら、全ての組が常にスムーズに
ということは事実上、困難であり、
 
2時間半を切ることが出来れば
経験上、後ろの組の方々が大きなストレスなく
回ることができると考えています。
 
多くのゴルフ場に2時間15分以内で回って下さい
という標語じみたものがあると思いますが、
 
これは正直、前が詰まらなければという
前提条件を付けるべきだと思っています。
 
そして、2時間半を切るというのは
いくら初心者マークをつけているにせよ
 
「交通の流れには乗りましょう」
「交通の流れに乗ることを覚えましょう」
 
ということとほぼ同義です。
 
ゴルフで初心者がいらっしゃるなら、
まずはショットどうのこうのよりも
ゴルフの精神⇒他のプレーヤーに対する心配りとして、
 
適切な進行をするためにしなければいけないこと
 
を教えてあげてください。
 
そして、初心者マークを付けてない方であれば、
2時間半を超えるようなラウンド進行を
決してされないようお願いいたします。

This is exactly the same as how a round progresses on the course.
 
If you have a top start and there are no wait times, and there are no other slow players, you can complete a half round in under two hours.
 
However, it is practically impossible for all groups to play their rounds smoothly at all times,
and from experience we believe that if their round can be completed in under two and a half hours,
the groups behind them will be able to play without too much stress.
 
Many golf courses have a sort of slogan that says you should complete a half round in under 2 hours and 15 minutes,
but honestly, I think this should be subject to the condition that the group in front of them is not progressing too slowly.
 
And, even if they’re a beginner, trying to finish a half round in under two and a half hours is pretty much the same as saying,
 
“Go with the flow of traffic.”
“Learn to go with the flow of traffic.”
 
If you have a beginner golfer, first teach them what they need to do to make the right progress, rather than focusing on the shots.

And if you are not a beginner, we ask that you never play a half round that lasts more than two and a half hours.
