I’m sure there are many people who are actually doing this.
However, there may be some parts that go against the official rules.
 
The next person to hit should be ready to hit as soon as possible, unless it is dangerous or a hindrance.
 
Even if you are in front of or to the side of the person hitting the ball,
as long as it is not dangerous and you are not getting in the way of that person,
you should hold your club and watch over the person, ready to hit the ball immediately.
 
Even when teeing off, even if it’s not your turn yet,
hold the ball and tee in one hand and your club in the other.
 
Some people even tee up the ball behind the hitter.
 
Park the cart diagonally in front of the player
 
Some people may find it noisy or obstruct their view when the cart is moving while they are addressing the ball.
 
But that’s nothing compared to the crowds at professional tournaments.
 
After hitting the ball, the speed at which you move will be different depending on
whether you start walking diagonally forward or backward or sideways.
 
The problem is that sometimes people get angry if the cart isn’t placed next to the person hitting the ball,
saying, “I have to walk extra.”

In such cases, we hit the next shot without penalty from a spot that we think should be around here.
 
This process wouldn’t work in a competition,
but it might be acceptable in a private round.
 
If you hit the ball from a high position onto a fairway after it has rained, and it gets buried,
it can be really hard to find the ball.
 
It’s rare, but when the hitter rushes off to look for a ball that was almost 100% out of bounds,
he’ll shout, “There it is, there it is, safe!”
 
It’s strange how he’s the only one who almost always ends up safe even when hitting places like that.

今回は、更なる段階のお話をさせて頂きます。
多分、実際にやられている方は多いだろうと思います。
ただ、正規のルールに反した部分があるかもしれません。
 
次に打つ人は危険・邪魔にならない限り、
すぐに打てるようにしておく
 
打つ人の前のほうにいても危なくはなく、
その人の邪魔にならなければ、クラブを持ち、
すぐに打てる状態でその人を見守るべきです。
 
ティショットの時でも、まだ自分の順番でなくても
片手にボールとティ、そしてもう片手でクラブを
持ちます。
 
中には打つ人の背後でもう球を
ティアップしてしまう人もいます。
 
カートは打つ人の斜め前方に停めておく
 
アドレスをしてる時にカートが動いていると
「うるさい」、「視界の邪魔」という方も
いらっしゃるかもしれません。
 
でも、プロのトーナメントの観衆を考えれば、
そんなものはたいしたことありません。
 
打ち終わった後に斜め前方に歩き出すのと、
後ろor横に歩き出すのでは
その後の進行スピードが違ってきます。
 
問題は打つ人の横にカートを置かないと
「余分に歩かにゃならんじゃねえか。」
と怒る人がたまにいらっしゃることです。
 
まあ、そういう人は大方、プレーが遅いんですが。
 
セカンド地点以降は4人でカートに乗らない
 
ほぼ同じ位置から全員がセカンドショット、
そして、全員グリーンオンということは
ほとんどありません。
 
また、パターや寄せのクラブを既に用意していれば
カートに戻る必要も少なく、結果、セカンド地点
以降、4人でカートに乗ることはほぼあり得ません。
 
別に仲が悪いわけではありませんけど、
常に仲良く4人でカートに乗っているパーティは
ラウンド進行がそれだけで相当遅くなります。
 
ロストボールはしっかり探さない
 
OBではないはずなのに球が見つからない
というケースは結構、起きると思います。
 
4人でざっと探して見つからないものは
しっかり探してもそう簡単には見つかりません。
 
そんな時は、ここらにあるはずという場所から
ノーペナで次のショットを打ちます。
 
競技では通用しない処理ですが、
プライベートであればありでしょう。
 
高い所から雨上がりのフェアウエイに打ち、
球が埋まってしまうというケースでは
本当に球がなかなか見つかりません。
 
「ほぼ100％OBだったよね？」という球を
慌てて探しに向かった本人だけが
「あった、あった、セーフだ。」
と騒ぐことはたまにありますけど。
