お土産物コーナーにはいくつかの商品を置かせ
ていただいていますが、人気№1はなんといっても
税込み650円のパウンドケーキ。
 
手ごろな値段もさることながらリピーターの
お客様が圧倒的に多いため、味も病みつきに
なるものがあるのかもしれません。
 
中でも郵便配達のおじさんは郵便物を持ってくる
ついでに購入ということがよくありますし、
 
私もフロントの女性陣にせがまれて3時のお茶うけ
に購入することが度々あります。

都は当時書いたんですが、味はまあ普通です。
それなりの味です。
 
ただ、価格が当時は650円、現在は770円で、
手ごろな価格なんですよね。
 
多分、おうちに小さなお子さんやお孫さんの
いらっしゃる方々がご購入頂いているのでは？
と。
 
売上高からして、人気商品であることは間違い
ありません。

but the most popular item is undoubtedly the pound cake,

Not only is it reasonably priced, but the overwhelming majority
of customers are repeat buyers, so perhaps the flavor is addictive.
 
In particular, the postman often buys it when he brings the mail,
and I often buy it for my 3 o’clock tea at the urging of the ladies
at the front desk.

I wrote this at the time, but the taste is pretty normal.
It’s a decent taste.
 
But the price was 650 yen at the time, and 770 yen now,
so it’s a reasonable price.
 
I guess it’s probably bought by people who have small children or
grandchildren at home?
 
Judging from the sales figures, it’s definitely a popular product.
