では、人間が池ポチャした時のペナは？
 
いや、最近当コースで、人間の池ポチャが
相次いでいるんですよね。
 
池にはまったぐらい、たいしたことないだろ？
 
とお思いかもしれませんが、正月3日には
山口県のゴルフ場で大騒動になっていますので、
たいしたことになってしまう可能性があります。

一般的な海辺などのようにだんだん深くではなく、
人工的なゴルフ場の池は急激に深くなっています。
 
加えて、角度があり、ゴムが貼られ
そこに藻が生えているというケースが多々。
 
言ってみれば、滑り台にとろろを流したような状態
になっていますので、ちょっと踏み入れただけで
一気にドボ－ンです。
 

 
各コースでアピールしているのですが、
落ちる人は後を絶ちません。
 
で、ゴルファーに有効な警告は？
という話です。
 
そうすると必然的に
人間の池ポチャにペナルティをつけたら？
ということになります。
 
個人的には、冬の池ポチャは10ペナ、
夏は3ペナ、春秋は6ペナでどうかと。
 
バーディでホールスコアが「3」と思っても、
ちょっと目についたボールを拾おうとして
池に落ちれば、冬ならスコアは「13」。
 
このぐらいすれば、ゴルファーたるもの
そうそう池には落ちないと思うんですけど。

Well, there have been a lot of cases like this recently on our course.
 
Falling into a pond isn’t a big deal, right?
 
You may be thinking that, but there was a big commotion at a golf course in Yamaguchi Prefecture on January 3rd,
so it could end up being a big deal.
 
Unlike ordinary ponds, which gradually get deeper,
artificial golf course ponds get deeper suddenly.
 
In addition, the pond bottom is often covered with rubber,
on which slippery algae grows.
 
It’s like a slippery slide, so even a small step on it will send you falling all the way down.

Although warnings are issued at each golf course,
but there’s no end to people falling into the pond.
 
So, what is an effective warning for golfers?
 
This would inevitably lead to the conclusion that there should be a penalty for humans falling into the pond.
 
Personally, I think that jumping into a pond in winter should result in a penalty of 10, in summer a penalty of 3, and in spring and autumn a penalty of 6.
 
Even if you think your hole score is “3” with a birdie,
if you try to pick up a ball that catches your eye and it falls into a pond, in winter your score will be “13”.
 
With rules like this, I don’t think golfers will fall into the pond very often.
