というニュースが流れた際、
 
ジャンボさん、青木さん、中嶋さんらが
育ててきた木の実を、
食べさせてもらっている状態。

というコメントも流れたと思います。
 
そして、
カテゴリーを一挙にブレイクさせるスター
という言葉を先日のブログで使いましたが、
 
日本のゴルフをメジャーにしたのは、
同時期に3人も登場したこの人たちだった
だろうと思います。
 
ゴルフを始めるのはまだ先だった私が、
ゴルフのことを多少知るようになったのも
この3人からでした。
 
多分、新聞で取り上げられ、
TVでも盛んに流れたんだろうと思います。
 
マスターズという大会を知ったのも、
この3人が目指す舞台としてでした。
